Pangyen 'Ben' Weng is the Vice President of Instruction at Shoreline Community College.  Ben has 20 years of experience in higher education, including six years at Minneapolis College as the STEM Dean, ten years at Metropolitan State University as math faculty and department chair (2015-2018). He has a PhD in mathematics from the University of Minnesota and a BS in mathematics from the National Taiwan University. 

Ben loves classical music, opera and performing arts. He also enjoys cooking, inline skating and playing the flute and the piano (not at the same time). Ben lives with his family near St. Paul, Minnesota.​
